Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup chopped pickles
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Break it apart with a spoon and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Season the Beef: Season the cooked beef with salt and pepper, then remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix the Thousand Island dressing with a little salt and pepper to taste. This will be your special Big Mac sauce.
- Prepare the Tortillas: Lay the flour tortillas flat on a clean surface, ready for assembly.
- Assemble the Wraps: Spread a spoonful of the special sauce in the center of each tortilla.
- Add Beef: Layer the cooked ground beef evenly on top of the sauce on each tortilla.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle shredded lettuce, chopped pickles, diced onions, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese over the beef.
- Roll the Wraps: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it up tightly into a wrap shape.
- Heat the Oil: Heat olive oil in the skillet over medium heat until hot.
- Cook the Wraps: Place the wraps seam side down into the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the wraps are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve: Remove the wraps from the skillet, slice in half, and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- For a healthier option, use whole wheat tortillas and lean ground beef.
- You can add a little garlic powder or onion powder to the beef for extra flavor.
- Feel free to substitute the cheeses with your favorites or reduce the amount for lower fat.
- If you want the wraps spicier, add some chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce to the special sauce.
- Make sure to cook the wraps seam side down first so they hold their shape and don’t unravel while toasting.
