  • Author: Rafael
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Creamy Angel Chicken Pasta is a luscious and comforting dish featuring tender, pan-seared chicken breasts smothered in a rich Parmesan cream sauce with garlic and Italian seasoning, served over delicate angel hair pasta and garnished with fresh parsley. This easy-to-make recipe is perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner or a special occasion meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Pasta & Garnish

  • 8 ounces angel hair pasta
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and pepper evenly to enhance flavor during cooking.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside to keep warm.
  3. Sauté Garlic: Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
  4. Make the Sauce: Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to loosen any browned bits. Bring to a simmer. Then, stir in heavy cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Cook Pasta: Meanwhile, prepare the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain thoroughly and set aside.
  6. Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet with the sauce, spooning the sauce over the top. Allow to simmer together for another 2-3 minutes to meld flavors and heat through.
  7. Serve: Place a bed of angel hair pasta on each plate, top with the creamy chicken, drizzle with extra sauce, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley for a vibrant finish.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the chicken breasts to keep them juicy and tender.
  • You can substitute Parmesan with Pecorino Romano for a sharper flavor.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream, adjusting cooking time to thicken sauce slightly.
  • Fresh parsley adds bright color and a fresh herbal note to the finished dish.
  • Angel hair pasta cooks very quickly; watch carefully to avoid overcooking.
