- ¾ cup (170 g) Plain yogurt
- ¾ cup (180 ml) Milk or water, cold
- 1–2 tablespoons Sugar or honey/maple syrup (optional and to taste)
- Pinch Ground cardamom (optional but traditional)
- 4–5 Ice cubes
Instructions
- Prepare Ingredients: Peel and chop ripe mangoes into chunks to ensure they blend smoothly and evenly.
- Combine Ingredients: In a high-speed blender, add the chopped mango, plain yogurt, cold milk or water, sweetener of choice (sugar, honey, or maple syrup), ground cardamom if using, and ice cubes for chill and texture.
- Blend Smoothly: Blend on high speed for 30 to 45 seconds until the mixture is fully smooth and creamy, without any lumps or chunks.
- Adjust Consistency and Sweetness: Taste the smoothie to decide if you’d like it sweeter or thinner. Add more sweetener or water/milk if desired, then blend briefly again to incorporate.
- Serve Immediately: Pour the mango smoothie into glasses and serve chilled. Optionally garnish with a pinch of ground cardamom or chopped pistachios for an aromatic and crunchy touch.
Notes
- The sweetness can be adjusted or omitted entirely if using very ripe, naturally sweet mangoes.
