Description

This Garlic Butter Shrimp & Corn Bake is a delicious, easy-to-make seafood dish combining tender shrimp and sweet corn coated in a flavorful garlic butter sauce. Perfectly baked in the oven, it offers a buttery, spicy, and slightly tangy flavor that’s ideal for a quick weeknight dinner or a casual gathering.

Ingredients

Scale

Shrimp and Corn

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 ears corn, cut into halves or thirds

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Finishing Touches

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish. Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or an aluminum baking tray to ensure the shrimp and corn do not stick while baking.
  2. Arrange Shrimp and Corn. Spread the shrimp evenly in the baking dish and place the corn pieces alongside them to allow everything to cook together uniformly.
  3. Make Garlic Butter Sauce. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well until the mixture is fragrant and thoroughly blended.
  4. Coat Shrimp and Corn. Pour the prepared garlic butter sauce evenly over the shrimp and corn. Gently toss or use a spoon to ensure each piece is coated with the flavorful sauce.
  5. Bake the Dish. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque and the corn is tender and glossy from the butter.
  6. Add Lemon Juice and Parsley. Remove the dish from the oven and drizzle the fresh lemon juice over the top to add a bright, citrusy contrast. Finally, sprinkle fresh chopped parsley over the shrimp and corn as a finishing touch.

Notes

  • Ensure shrimp are peeled and deveined for the best texture and flavor.
  • Adjust spices according to your heat preference, especially the chili powder.
  • You can substitute frozen shrimp if fresh is not available; just thaw completely before baking.
  • For easier cleanup, line the baking dish with foil before greasing.
  • Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
