  • Author: Rafael
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A simple and refreshing iced coffee recipe made at home using leftover brewed coffee, flavored syrup, and your choice of milk or cream. Perfect for cooling down with a tasty, non-diluted iced coffee anytime.

Ingredients

Scale

Iced Coffee Base

  • 3/4 cup Leftover brewed coffee (preferably refrigerated or frozen in ice cube trays)

Dairy and Alternatives

  • 1/4 cup Half and half (or substitute with almond, coconut, or cashew milk for a healthier option)

Flavoring

  • 23 teaspoons Flavored coffee syrup (sugar-free vanilla recommended, adjust to taste)

Ice

  • 46 Coffee ice cubes (made by freezing brewed coffee in trays)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Coffee Ice Cubes: Brew extra coffee and pour it into ice cube trays. Freeze until solid to create coffee ice cubes that prevent dilution.
  2. Fill Glass with Ice Cubes: Select a glass of your liking (about 24oz preferred). Fill it halfway with the coffee ice cubes to keep your drink chilled without watering it down.
  3. Add Flavored Syrup: Pour in 2-3 teaspoons of your preferred flavored coffee syrup based on your desired sweetness, stirring gently to combine.
  4. Pour Coffee and Milk: Pour chilled leftover brewed coffee into the glass until it is about ¾ full, then top off the drink with half and half or your chosen milk alternative.
  5. Mix and Serve: Stir the iced coffee thoroughly to blend flavors. Enjoy your perfectly balanced homemade iced coffee.

Notes

  • Use coffee ice cubes instead of regular ice cubes to avoid diluting the flavor.
  • Adjust the flavored syrup quantity to suit your sweetness preference.
  • Substitute half and half with plant-based milks like almond, coconut, or cashew for a dairy-free option.
  • Make extra brewed coffee the night before or in the morning to have it ready refrigerated or frozen for iced coffee later.
  • Use a large glass, such as a 24 oz Tervis, to enjoy a generous serving.
